About the role
The successful candidate will contribute to the River Class Destroyer (RCD) Land Based Test Facility (LBTF) project as a member of the Integration Test and Evaluation (IT&E) team conducting the following activities:
- Development and/or review of shipboard/Shore-based Test and Trials (T&T); including Set-To-Work (STW), Integration Testing, Harbour Acceptance Trials (HATs), Sea Acceptance Trials (SATs), and Operational T&E
- Conduct post installation inspections and commissioning of equipment
- Develop and execute tests to verify the functionality of the integrated software
- Document results in the Test Management System
- Managing defects reporting and documentation
- Support in Test Report reviews to include data collection analysis results and report findings as necessary to key stakeholders
- Support in managing and planning the identification and resolution of Combat System integration issues so that priority defects are corrected to meet testing schedules
What you bring to the role
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience will be considered or military/civilian technical training with 1-3 years of professional experience. Must be willing to support schedule environment including evenings and weekends as required.
- Integration and Test (I&T) experience including VCRM.
- Must have an aptitude for solving challenging problems in a team environment.
- Must have a high degree of initiative and autonomy.
- Must be able to obtain a North Atlantic Treaty Organization Secret security Clearance in a timely manner.
- Demonstrating an honest, open, respectful, team oriented and positive attitude.
Additional skills desired for the role
- Experience in Combat Management System 330 (CMS 330) operation is considered an asset
- Familiarity with IBM Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) is considered an asset
- Familiarity with I&T processes
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology is considered an asset
- Familiarity with software development and test
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
- Familiarity with Linux
- Familiarity with JIRA / Confluence
- Familiarity with SharePoint and Windchill
- Familiarity with Scheduling
- Experience in reviewing technical documentation.
