Located in the heart of Nunavut, Agnico-Eagle Meadowbank complex is definitely a unique place to work. Surrounded by tundra in a low Artic environnement, this client offers ''Fly-In Fly-Out'' job opportunities and hires over 1100 employees at its Meadowbank and Amaruq mines!
We are currently looking for permanent Drill Technician to join our client's team!
Under the direction of his foreman, the mechanic will be assigned responsibilities for the inspection, modification, repair, improvement and maintenance of drilling equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and carrying out the work;
- Detection and repair of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic problems;
- Occasional welding work;
- Reading plans and preventive maintenance;
- The choice and installation of components.
Working conditions and benefits:
- Permanent, full-time position;
- Work schedule of 14 working days, followed by 14 days off, alternating day and night;
- Hourly salary between 40.04$ to 51.54$;
- Rate and a half for hours worked over 40 hours per week, for work performed on Saturday and Sunday as well as on statutory holidays;
- Fly-in / Fly-out work dynamic: Workers can take the plane at Mirabel airport or at Val-d'Or airport;
- Transportation allowance packages depending on the distance between your home and the departure airport;
- Accommodation provided as well as food;
- 4 hours at regular paid at the entrance and exit of the mine site;
- Tools and work equipment supplied on the mine site;
- Group insurance and pension plan;
- Work clothing allowance!
Requirements:

Diploma in Heavy-Duty Mechanic or Truck and Coach Mechanic;

Minimum of 5 years of experience in your trade;

3 years of experience on the maintenance of mobile drill;

Red Seal certification (421 A or 310T), an asset;

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Comfortable working both day and night shifts as per rotation schedules.

Willingness to travel between sites as required.
