Descriptif mission

The Intermediate Systems Designer requires advanced formal engineering experience at the level of product or sub-system design, implementation and verification. Job responsibilities include analysis, decomposition and refinement of requirements and planning and execution of verification test campaigns. This position reports to the Systems Engineering Manager and is part of a dynamic team implementing positive change to an already excellent organization

RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform product level requirements definition, allocation and validation Design and analyze system functions focusing on cost, performance and complexity including the decomposition at hardware and software levels Support and analyze product verification methods and coverage including assessment of test results for compliance to customer and certification objectives Work with systems designers and product leads to develop tester requirements, test procedures, test plans, test cases, test descriptions from the product, hardware and software specifications. Manage changes to the technical definition and configuration of products Identify and mitigate risks Complete other duties as required QUALIFICATIONS: Undergraduate Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering. Minimum 4 years of related experience with embedded control systems in aerospace, rail or automotive industries with high safety criticality. Good knowledge of civil/military specifications standards and practices: DO-178B, DO-254, DO-160, ARP-4754A, ARP-4761. Strong understanding of system design risk management, costs, and drivers. Experience with traceability tools (i.e. DOORS). Must be eligible to meet requirements of CGRP or ITAR. Computer literate and proficient in Word, Excel, Internet, and e-mail. Above-average math skills and good communication skills. Knowledge and skills associated with data management and analysis (MatLab, scripting, etc) are an asset.
