Intermediate Test Analyst (Contract) Location: Edmonton, Alberta (Onsite – 5 Days/Week) Duration: Approximately 12 Months (Extension Possible) Employment Type: Contract
About the Opportunit yWe are seeking an experienced Intermediate Test Analyst to support a large-scale ERP/Procurement System Modernization initiative. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and validating software testing activities while working closely with business users, developers, business analysts, project managers, architects, and subject matter experts .This role requires strong experience in software quality assurance, test planning, ERP testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and end-to-end business process validation .Key Responsibilitie sParticipate in business requirements and solution design sessions from a testing perspective .Review business requirements, functional specifications, and technical design documents .Develop testing strategies, test approaches, and testing methodologies .Prepare comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts .Identify testing scope, risks, assumptions, and dependencies .Coordinate testing activities with business users, SMEs, developers, and project teams .Prepare, manage, and validate test data required for execution .Execute Functional, System, Integration, Regression, Smoke, End-to-End, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) .Validate ERP, Procurement, Finance, and Source-to-Pay (S2P) business processes .Execute interface, integration, workflow, and data validation testing .Record, prioritize, track, and verify software defects through resolution .Participate in defect triage meetings and coordinate issue resolution with development teams .Track testing progress, testing metrics, defect trends, and project status .Produce testing reports and communicate testing risks to project stakeholders .Define testing exit criteria and validate implementation readiness .Recommend testing process improvements and QA best practices .Support projects utilizing AI-assisted testing and automated testing tools .Required Qualification sBachelor's Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or a related discipline .Excellent written and verbal communication skills .Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities .Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment .Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills .Required Experienc e5+ years coordinating software testing activities with business users, business analysts, developers, and project teams .5+ years preparing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts .5+ years executing software testing, QA, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) .5+ years managing test data, executing tests, validating results, and logging defects .5+ years identifying testing issues and implementing process improvements .5+ years supporting ERP, SAP, Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, or enterprise application testing .4+ years tracking testing progress, defect metrics, testing status, risks, and reporting .2 year hands-on experience testing end-to-end Source-to-Pay (S2P) business processes
