Job Description
As aScriptwriterat Ubisoft Montreal, you will help shape the narrative heart of the game by crafting stories, characters, and dialogue that support both the creative vision and the gameplay experience. You will collaborate closely with narrative, design, and production teams to ensure narrative content is coherent, engaging, and seamlessly integrated into the game.
What you’ll do

Translate theCreative Director’s visioninto clear and compelling narrative content

Write scripts that serve as ashared referencefor cross-disciplinary teams

Collaborate with theNarrative Game Designerto align story structure with gameplay structure

Create detailedcharacter profilesthat support story and gameplay needs
-
Developin-game location descriptionsand narrative ambiance with Narrative Designers
-
Write scripts forcinematics, scripted events, and gameplay sequences
-
Produce narrative text formissions, loading screens, and in-game documents
-
Maintainup-to-date narrative documentationfor the project
-
Support theintegration of narrative contentinto the game alongside production teams
Qualifications
What you bring to the team
- Demonstrated skill inscriptwriting and narrative development
- Strong understanding ofstory structure and dialogue writing
- Familiarity withgame development workflowsand narrative integration
- Ability tocollaborate across disciplinesand respond constructively to feedback
- Strongorganization and documentation skills
- Creative mindset with a strongsense of observation and curiosity
- Ability to adapt tone and style todifferent narrative contexts
- Passion for storytelling ininteractive media
