Gas Turbine Engine Trainer Code: APVT / 23225 Salary: $85,000.00 to $110,000.00 The Technical Trainer is responsible for the development, creation and delivery of technical, regulatory and business focused training material for employees supporting Gas Turbine Engines and Engine Component MRO activities.

Your Tasks:

  • Development and amendment of new or existing course material
  • Ensure internal and external process compliance with airworthiness regulations
  • Support in the continuous improvement of all training processes to improve overall quality and customer satisfaction
  • Projects, initiatives and additional duties as assigned by the Manager, Technical Training
  • Must be well prepared in the subject being taught
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized and well disciplined environment for learning
  • Stays current on new procedures that affect material contained in course content and ensures training is up to date
  • Provide class attendance records and exam grades in a timely manner for inclusion in the Personnel training files
  • Prepare lesson plans and course material as required
  • Ensure security of exams and evaluations used in the process
  • Management of Learning Management and Qualification Database systems

Our Requirements:

  • Comprehensive experience in Training and Development in a aerospace / aviation environment or equivalent (Gas Turbines and asset)
  • Sound Quality Management and Teaching Principles knowledge obtained through studies and/or related work experience.
  • Experience leading a group of people in a team environment
  • Degree in education considered an asset.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Operation System
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office
  • Intermediate knowledge of SAP Quality specific functions/transactions is an asset
  • Knowledge of computer based Learning Management and Qualification Database systems is an asset. (e.g.: Pelesys, Workday, Greenlight, etc.)

MTU Maintenance Canada Ltd. is an organization that is approved by the Federal Aviation Association (FAA), Transport Canada and other aviation authorities to inspect, maintain, repair, overhaul and test aircraft engines, modules, and components. MTU Canada is a North American member of the MTU Maintenance networks of companies, one of the largest provider of independent commercial engine services worldwide. The Canadian operations base serves in two locations in Delta and Richmond, British Columbia.

The Delta operations facility holds OEM technical data licenses required to maintain, repair and overhaul GE, IAE and CFMI engines: CF6-80, CFM56-2/3/7, F108, F138 and V2500 as well as a variety of other OEM licenses to perform MRO services on engine accessories for these and several other engine types. In 2022, MTU provided maintenance for V2500 and CF6-80 operators and owners and for the F108 and the F138 under USAF contracts.
