Experienced Unreal Cinematic Artist wanted for our Gastown/Railtown studio located at 259 Alexander Street, Vancouver, BC V6A 1C2.

Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and artistically inclined Unreal Cinematic Artist to join our Vancouver team. The UE Artist will work closely with the CG Supervisor, Leads and other artists to produce high quality animation, creating compelling, story-driven, and action-packed moments that fit within the style and pacing of the project. This role requires troubleshooting skills to be able to solve technical and artistic issues while meeting client requirements and production deadlines.
Responsibilities include:
- Imports, scene set-up, and rendering.
- Flag and troubleshoot rendering bugs.
- Handle high fidelity shots from creation to final render.
- Profile and optimize scenes to meet the project requirements without sacrificing visual fidelity.
- Communicate regularly with Production and Leads regarding schedules and deadlines.
- Submit shots for review and follow through with notes and feedback, if required.
- Adhere to scheduling and show deadlines.
Qualifications Include:
- Experience of the current advantages and limitations of the UE5.6 Engine.
- Must have experience with cinematic or high fidelity renders.
- Scene Lighting experience.
- Material Editor experience.
- Nested Unreal levels set-up.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the sequencer.
- Thorough understanding of lighting workflows and process in-engine.
- Strong work ethic, highly motivated and can work independently or part of a team
- Ability to take direction from supervisor positively and thrive under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- 3+ years experience as an Unreal Generalist.
- Knowledge of Perforce is a plus.
- Experience in Shotgun is a plus
- Knowledge of scripting and creating tools a plus
- Must be in PST, or ideally Vancouver based.
