Is currently recruiting a Maintenance Planner for our Wheatland, Alberta plant. Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure Maintenance Planner activities are compliant with the RPM program.
- Build and incorporate establishment of the RPM model activities into the Wheatland Plant
- Responsible for expediting work orders and requests, scheduling both routine and non-routine electrical and maintenance related projects.
- Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of information on new maintenance work orders, determining parts and material requirements, providing a written job plan, cost estimates to include labour and materials to complete work in the most efficient manner
- Communicates information in the Job Plan Package to the Maintenance Foreman, Supervisor, or other Maintenance Planners as applicable.
- Responsible for all information needed to support the planning process from beginning to completion. This includes ensuring all information is complete, accurate, and readily available to those involved.
- Train as needed to learn new operating systems.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or department manager to support the Wheatland plant.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven ability to work safely.
- Working knowledge of electrical and general plant equipment, operations, and maintenance activities is an asset.
- Experienced in using a Windows-based computer system and standard software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook), EAM, and barcode scanners for Oracle Inventory Management.
- Able to read and interpret prints and drawings as required.
- Able to self-start and complete tasks with little guidance or supervision.
- Effective communication skills with all levels of personnel, vendors, and contractors.
- Periodic travel may be required during the training period (US/CAN).
- Must be able to maintain positive relationships and seek to achieve conflict resolution for self and reports in a timely manner and with positive intent.
Hours Additional Information:
- Training - 4–10-hour days - classroom/group settings, possible travel to other plants
- Operational - 4–10-hour days + rotation of nights and weekends every 4-6 weeks
Pay: $43-48.25/hour
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
