Overview
In our Long Term Disability Services (LTDS) department we are responsible for adjudicating a worker’s entitlement to permanent disability benefits when a worker’s condition has stabilized as permanent.
We do impactful, meaningful work and are looking for aCo-op Student Business Analystto join our team to identify process improvement opportunities that will benefit our stakeholders with more timely and efficient service delivery.
This is a four-month full-time position starting in May 2026, with the possibility of extension.
This role requires 5 days per week in office presence due to the sensitive nature of the information that you will be working with.

In this role, you will be working alongside peers and other staff in a work environment that celebrates collaboration, connection and innovation. You will also be working with and handling sensitive information that cannot be accessed outside the organization. As such, you will be working
What you'll do
On Day 1 in this role, you will get a chance to meet your manager and get acquainted with your team. You will spend time setting up administrative and technological essentials, completing onboarding tasks, including security and payroll setup, and learning about site safety protocols.
Throughout Week 1, you will work on completing training modules and immersing yourself in the team and the department's work with the support of a mentor. Together with your manager, you will clarify your role's goals and how to achieve them.
After week 1, you will assist the team with the planning and implementation of various projects including analyzing current state of business processes and working towards finding opportunities for improvements. You will:
- Work collaboratively as part of a team on a defined process improvement project within the business area.
- Independently analyze operations to identify efficiency and quality improvements, all while embedding within the department, gaining hands-on experience, and engaging directly with stakeholders.
- Develop recommendations to improve business processes, drawing on hands-on experience, stakeholder input, and external research — first individually, then refined as a team.
- Gather and analyze data to distill key findings into actionable recommendations and present findings to leadership.

- Show curiosity to understand business processes, context, and stakeholder needs through hands-on experience and external benchmarking.
- Gather and analyze data to distill key findings into actionable recommendations.
Your background and experience
-A 3rd or 4th year student enrolled in a BBA or an MBA student
- Previous office or relevant work experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Familiarity with business analysis methodologies.
