About the role
We are Parallel 49 Brewing Company, a craft brewery based in the heart of East Vancouver. We were founded in 2012 by passionate craft beer enthusiasts and have quickly become a staple in the Canadian craft beer scene. We are looking for skilled and interesting people with great attitudes to complement our team while we remain a top employer in Vancouver and the craft beer industry.
The Trade Marketing Manager sits at the intersection of brand strategy and commercial execution. Reporting to the Group Marketing Manager, this role is responsible for bringing our marketing vision to life across Parallel 49 and our growing portfolio of ready-to-drink and cider brands — equipping the sales team to win, amplifying brand visibility across trade and consumer channels, and ensuring every touchpoint tells a consistent, powerful story.
This is a hands-on, commercially minded role that blends creativity with rigor. You're equally comfortable presenting at a sales meeting, briefing a designer, managing a contractor's content calendar, and tracking the numbers that prove it's all working. You thrive in a fast-moving environment, take pride in flawless execution, and know what great looks like on shelf, on screen, and on the ground.
Duties and Responsibilities
Strategy Execution
- Translate brand and marketing strategy into actionable trade and channel plans across the portfolio

- Manage deadlines and ensure applications are ready for all key accounts.
Sales Enablement
- Partner closely with the Sales team to understand customer and channel needs, translating them into effective support materials
- Develop high-impact sales sheets, pitch decks, product sell-in documents, and seasonal toolkits
- Ensure the Sales team is consistently equipped with current, on-brand collateral and product information
- Maintain and organize a centralized asset library so the right materials are always accessible
- Support key account presentations and commercial negotiations with compelling marketing assets

- Lead content development across channels, briefing and managing external creative contractors to deliver on-brand assets on time and on budget
- Identify and execute opportunities to enhance brand visibility in key on- and off-premise accounts
Events Planning & Execution
- Plan and execute trade and consumer events end-to-end — festivals, tap takeovers, product launches, tastings, and sponsorships
- Manage all event logistics, budgets, and post-event reporting
- Represent the brands at events, ensuring every activation delivers a memorable, on-brand experience
- Build relationships with key accounts and community partners to identify sponsorship and co-marketing opportunities
Social Media & Digital
- Develop and maintain a social media content strategy aligned to brand and commercial priorities across the portfolio
- Manage social channels for all brands

- Brief contractors on campaign priorities and seasonal messaging
- Monitor and report on social media performance including engagement, reach, and content effectiveness
Qualifications
- 3 years of marketing or sales experience in beverage alcohol in the Western Canadian market or in CPG marketing — ideally with exposure to both trade and consumer-facing work
- Demonstrated ability to manage social media strategy and oversee external content creators, including scheduling and analytics platforms
- Proven experience planning and executing events
- Experience managing external agencies or contractors and holding them accountable to timelines and brand standards
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva; video editing experience is an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write compelling copy and present confidently to internal and external audiences
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines without compromising execution quality
- Comfortable working independently while staying tightly aligned with sales, marketing, and leadership teams
- A genuine passion for craft beer, cider, and the RTD category is a strong asset
