About the role
As a senior marketing advisor, you help develop and update the organization’s products and services to meet the member/client needs and support business development and analyze market needs for Desjardins General Insurance Group. You lead and influence planning and development projects, feasibility studies, and complex, highly innovative strategic interventions involving multiple sectors. You help develop and recommend strategic directions and business positions. Your initiatives require extensive knowledge of your field. You make recommendations on the planning and execution of operationally and conceptually complex projects and initiatives that require comprehensive analysis and understanding of the organization and line of business. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in a wide range of other fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. You serve as expert advisor and subject matter expert, as well as resource person and coach for senior management and decision-making bodies. More specifically, you will be required to :
- Act as the lead for projects, mandates, and development activities specific to your area of expertise, which have major scope and impact for the organization and may extend across the Desjardins Movement.
- Advise and support your clients and partners in positioning, planning, developing, executing, and following up on various strategic projects and mandates under your responsibility in the field of marketing.
- Oversee the development and evolution of policies, standards, models, and programs that support your unit’s strategic projects and mandates.
- Identify and analyze issues, raise significant concerns, establish diagnoses, and make recommendations to the relevant authorities regarding business solutions, strategies, and market development tactics.
- Represent your unit on various committees composed of senior management members and other governing bodies.
- Represent, negotiate, and commit Desjardins in agreements with partners or external organizations.

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of nine years of relevant experience in Marketing
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
