About the role
Purpose
To provide supervisory oversight for a group(s) of detailers, including coordinating work, ensuring that job standards are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate leadership consistent with Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s vision and values.
- Supervise detailers, review their work, assist with any reported difficulties, and identify ways to correct deficiencies.
- Responsible for continually reassessing detailing techniques and recommending integrated, cost-effective solutions to improving efficiencies, and participating in the development of recommended actions.
- Track employee’s progress on assigned work.
- Assist in the performance review process and recommend appropriate salary adjustments as needed for assigned detailing personnel.
- Perform other duties as required by your supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Vocational certificate in CAD design/drafting issued from an accredited school or college or equivalent
- At least four years of experience as a Senior Detailer
- Requires thorough knowledge of Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s detailing system
- General supervisory skills or supervisory training
- Able to manage time effectively and prioritize responsibilities
- Effective verbal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 2 year technical diploma from an accredited school or college
- Critical thinking skills and have the ability to creatively motivate detailers
