About the role
As a Cloud Data Engineering Lead, you will make an impact by leading a high-performing team of data engineers and developers to design, build, and optimize innovative AWS cloud data solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. You will be at the forefront of transforming how data is leveraged across the organization, enabling scalable, secure, and cost-efficient platforms that support strategic decision-making, particularly within the banking and financial domain. You will be a valued member of our Cloud Infrastructure and Security team and work collaboratively with our Senior Manager.
In this role, you will
- Architect and lead the development of cloud-native data platforms using AWS services.
- Optimize AWS infrastructure for performance, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
- Apply AWS Trusted Advisor to improve compliance, fault tolerance, and operational excellence.
- Design and deliver impactful data visualizations using Amazon QuickSight.
- Guide agile delivery through sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and squad-level execution.
- Establish and enforce cloud governance and security policies aligned with best practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate cloud solutions with enterprise systems and workflows.
- Drive innovation by evaluating and adopting emerging AWS technologies and services.
- Deliver tailored cloud solutions for finance and accounting use cases.
- Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives to build cloud expertise across engineering teams.
Required skills: what you need to be considered
- Proficiency in AWS Cloud services, including Trusted Advisor and Amazon QuickSight.
- A proven track record of 10 or more years in cloud architecture, data engineering, and DevOps practices.
- Strong leadership in agile environments, with experience in sprint planning and team enablement.
- Deep knowledge of cloud governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.
Preferred skills: what will help you stand out
- Familiarity with data engineering tools such as Python, Spark, Glue, and Redshift.
- Experience in the finance and accounting domain.
