We are looking for a Software Developer to join our dynamic team.

What Will You Do? The Ideal Candidate Will Bring

  • Proven programming experience and a strong understanding of modern engineering practices.
  • Ability to create detailed documentation upon project completion.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work closely with sales and engineering teams in delivering top-quality applications to our customers.

Main Responsibilities As a Software Developer , you will:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Howden’s portfolio of engineering software applications supporting global operations, and deliver fully functional products within agreed and demanding timeframes.
  • Create and deliver clear user documentation and provide technical support to engineering and sales teams.
  • Analyze and define user requirements through interviews and workshops, ensuring timely delivery of fully functional products.
  • Build new applications, enhance existing ones, create & perform automated testing, manage installations, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Develop both intuitive user interfaces and robust back-end logic components, primarily in the .NET environment using C# .

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require… We offer flexible remote work options with occasional on-site activities for our Developers and Engineering Teams.

Your Experience Should Be...

  • Undergraduate degree in Software Engineering or College diploma in Computer Science (or equivalent technical experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Extensive experience with C# and .NET .
  • Experience with:
  • Artificial Intelligence,
  • WPF and Blazor development
  • Microsoft Visual Studio
  • SQL databases
  • Azure DevOps
  • JIRA
  • Git-based release management
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with programming best practices.
  • Initiative, autonomy, and creative problem-solving.
  • Bilingual (French and English) is require for this role; The requirement for a language other than French for this position is determined based on the responsibilities associated with the position, which require daily collaboration with colleagues, teams, and partners outside Quebec. The majority of our clients (over 95%) are companies outside Quebec.
