About the role
Are you a passionate and experienced early childhood leader looking to make a meaningful impact? At Little Willows by Kids & Company, we are seeking a dedicated Centre Director to lead our childcare centre in delivering exceptional care, education, and family experiences.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all centre operations, including staffing, scheduling, enrolment, and daily programming
- Ensure full compliance with BC Child Care Licensing Regulations, health & safety standards, and company policies
- Lead, coach, and support a team of educators to maintain a high-quality childcare environment
- Maintain required licensing documentation, incident reports, and attendance records
- Build strong, trusting relationships with families and the community
- Support and implement a Reggio Emilia-inspired learning approach
- Monitor and support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Collaborate with external professionals (e.g., Supported Child Development, Speech/Occupational Therapists)
- Support licensing inspections and ensure the centre is always audit-ready
- Drive enrolment and retention through excellent service and centre performance
Qualifications
- Valid BC Early Childhood Educator (ECE) License to Practice (required)
- Infant/Toddler or Special Needs certification (asset)
- Minimum 3–5 years experience in a licensed childcare setting, including supervisory/management experience
- Strong knowledge of BC Child Care Licensing Regulation and Child Care BC standards
- Valid Emergency Child Care First Aid & CPR
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- Up-to-date immunizations
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Excellent communication and parent relationship management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of licensing compliance and centre operations
- Proficient with childcare software and administrative systems
- High level of organization, professionalism, and accountability
