The Calgary Police Service (CPS) requires a highly motivated individual to provide District administrative support and assistance. You will be assigned various work tasks in a fast-paced team environment where interruptions are common, and priorities change frequently. Primary duties include:
- Respond to requests from internal and external clients and follow up on system generated requests.
- Oversee information for employee scheduling and training and assist District personnel with InTime scheduling requirements and procedures.
- Responsible for entering and processing all documents in Content Server system including assigning time sensitive documents to members for service and/or action, tracking overdue
- items, and the movement of documents to other areas of the CPS.
- Respond to incoming telephone, hardcopy, and e-mail inquiries from external clients and internal members of CPS.
- Prepare meeting requests and boardroom bookings, including arranging catering when required.
- Train and assist new members and supervisors coming into the District.
Working Conditions: Position requires regular interaction with police service and partner agencies.
Qualifications
- A High School or equivalency (i.e. G.E.D.) plus at least 3 years of related experience.
- Preference will be given to applicants who have previous experience using Content Server, JOIN and/or In-Time.
- Experience in Information Technology requests, payroll and court management would be an asset.
- Previous experience working in a law enforcement or police service environment is considered an asset.

Pre-employment Requirements
- An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. Education obtained from out of country must have or be able to obtain, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for confirmation of equivalent credentials.

Union: CUPE Local 38
Position Type: 1 Temporary (up to 18 months)
Compensation: Pay Grade 6 $34.37 - 45.97 per hour
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week.
Days of work: This position works a 5 day work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
Location: District 1, 1010 - 26 Avenue S.E.
