About the role
The Canalta Group of Companies is a privately held, Canadian-owned company focusing on the manufacturing and service of industrial control and measurement equipment, specifically targeting the gas industry, and supplying customers internationally. We are hiring a 3rd year or Journeyman Assembly Technician at our head office in Red Deer, Alberta. This is a temporary position for approximately 2 months.
What You Will Do
- Perform maintenance and repairs on a wide range of industrial equipment, including lift equipment (forklifts, manlifts, zoom booms, etc.), light and heavy-duty vehicles, overhead and jib cranes, CNC machines, HVAC systems, boilers, and other mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair air compressors, overhead doors, electrical and plumbing systems, welders, and hydraulic systems.
- Source, purchase, and pick up parts and supplies as needed to support maintenance activities.
- Carry out general facility maintenance across multiple locations, including seasonal tasks such as snow removal and lawn care.
What You Need

Valid 3rd year Apprentice or Journeyman Millwright certification

Able to safely lift up to 50 lb. using proper technique and aids when required.

Valid Class 5 driver's license.

Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Backflow device prevention certification is an asset.
Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Overtime: May be required based on operational needs
