Regional Field Production Coordinator
This position is a member of the Regional Field Production Mission team that plays a multifaceted role encompassing various operational responsibilities within production agriculture. This dynamic position involves supporting and optimizing field production processes, ensuring seamless execution of missions, and enabling overall mission team efficiency. This position supports the Area Field Team with the overarching objective to enhance operational excellence, aligning with the company's production goals and customer expectations.
Setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production. Operate machines or equipment, setting up and adjusting factors such as temperature, pressure, flow, and material reactions, manually controlling the unit or operating it via a control system. Runs up and shuts down production facilities, including product changeover activities. Cleans and decontaminates equipment. Maintains housekeeping of the workplace. Drives forklifts. Fills and takes over tank wagons. Conducts routine analytics and takes samples. Coordinates equipment maintenance and repairs with the technical team. Documents and communicates work results during shift handovers.
This is a permanent position based out of Lethbridge, Alberta working at field sites in the area, and office area during winter months.
What you will do:
Mission Success:
Collaborate with Field Production Missions to plan and coordinate operational activities. Support the timely and efficient execution of production plans, aligning with mission objectives. Participate and help with end of season and pre-season competency evaluations and trainings Assists in all field activities including but not limited to planting, pesticide applications & harvest. GPS mapping, field inspections and rouging activities.
Resourcing:
Optimize resource allocation for field production, including personnel, equipment, and materials. Work closely with the team to identify resource needs and facilitate procurement.
Operational Efficiency:
Knowledge of field production processes to enhance overall efficiency. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to address operational challenges. Execute plans around production to meet export needs with attention to certification and phytosanitary inspections
Quality Assurance:
Champion quality control measures in field production, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Collaborate with relevant teams to address and resolve any quality related issues.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze operational data to track performance and identify areas for improvement Prepare regular and year end reports on key operational metrics to ensure data timeliness and integrity. Working knowledge across SAP transactions, Seed Bin and Field Data collection enterprise systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Field Production Agronomists to align production strategies with agronomic goals. Collaborate with Compliance Business Partners to ensure operational compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Build customer centric relationships with customers, growers, and field service providers. Integrated Financial Operations: Support end-to-end financial processes related to field production, including grower accounting, accounts payable, and invoice processing. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions. Enable quality control measures and compliance within financial operations. Foster an inclusive environment of professionalism and safe working practices ensuring Safety and Compliance requirements are met or exceeded within Squad.
Who you are:
Bachelor's degree in agriculture, Business, Operations Management with eagerness to learn agriculture; OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of applicable experience Valid Driver's License. In order to be eligible to drive a company car, your driving record must meet guidelines based on the company’s Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers – MVR will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening Ability to work during days, weekends and overtime as business needs require Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs. (a bag of seed) Some overnight travel potentially in the USA and Cranbrook, BC expected during peak season

The base salary range for this role is between $63,840 and $95,760. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation. Additional benefits may include insured benefits such as health care, vision, dental, disability, and contributory retirement savings plans, etc.
This salary range is an estimate and may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, market data and the applicant’s skills, prior relevant experience, job-related knowledge, specific degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors. This role is posted for a vacant position.
