Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Integration Architect to drive enterprise-scale integration modernization initiatives, with a focus on migrating SAP Process Orchestration (PO) / PI landscapes to Boomi. This role will serve as the technical authority responsible for architecture, design, governance, and delivery excellence of Boomi-based integrations. You will collaborate closely with solution architects, SAP functional teams, and business stakeholders to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design
- Lead the end-to-end technical design and execution of SAP PO/PI to Boomi migration programs
- Define enterprise-grade integration architecture, patterns, and best practices within Boomi
- Analyze existing SAP PO interfaces (IDoc, RFC, Proxy, SOAP, REST, JMS, file-based) and design optimized Boomi solutions
- Drive interface rationalization, simplification, and reusability during migration efforts
Development & Delivery
- Own Boomi process development, including workflows, connectors, mappings, profiles, and exception handling
- Design and implement reusable frameworks for logging, monitoring, alerting, and error management
- Ensure high-quality delivery through design reviews, code reviews, and development standards
- Lead performance tuning, scalability planning, and high-availability architecture
Governance & Operations
- Establish and enforce integration governance, security, and compliance standards
- Manage deployments across environments using Boomi Atom Management and CI/CD practices
- Oversee production support readiness, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Support cutover planning, go-live execution, and post-production stabilization
Stakeholder & Team Leadership
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing technical leadership, risk mitigation, and solution recommendations
- Collaborate with SAP functional, middleware, security, and infrastructure teams
- Mentor and guide Boomi developers and integration engineers
- Contribute to RFPs, solution estimation, and technical proposals
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in integration and middleware technologies
- 4+ years of hands-on Boomi experience in a lead or architect capacity
- Proven experience migrating SAP PO/PI integrations to cloud-based iPaaS platforms (Boomi preferred)
Technical Expertise
- Strong SAP integration knowledge, including:
- IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs
- SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA integration patterns
- Deep experience with:

REST, SOAP, APIs
XML, JSON, XSLT transformations

- Hands-on experience with Boomi connectors (SAP, REST, Database, FTP, Web Services, etc.)
- Strong understanding of:
- Integration patterns and orchestration
- Message transformation and exception handling
- Hybrid and cloud integration architectures
Security & Operations
- Experience implementing secure integrations (OAuth, certificates, encryption, authentication/authorization)
- Strong knowledge of monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting in production environments
Leadership Skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to lead teams in complex, multi-system enterprise environments
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in integration
- Prior consulting or client-facing experience
Work Environment
- Location: Calgary, AB
- Onsite/Hybrid with a minimum of 3 days in the client's office.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $70,751 - $165,984 CAD.
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.
These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.
It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
