About The Role As a Senior Art Director, you'll be a hands-on creative force within a multidisciplinary team led by the Group Creative Director. You’ll help bring big ideas to life, executing standout work across digital, social, and video while maintaining a sharp eye for craft, storytelling, and design excellence. You’ll operate in the details - designing, building, and refining creative assets - while contributing to broader campaign narratives and visual systems. This role blends strong conceptual thinking with pixel-perfect execution. You’ll collaborate closely with Creative Directors, Designers, Copywriters, Producers, and Strategists to deliver work that feels native to the platform, on-brand for Amazon, and scalable across markets.

We’re looking for a Senior Art Director who’s fluent in digital design, comfortable shaping narratives through visuals, and excited to help create high-volume, high-quality creative at speed. You need to have strong design craft and AI fluency to help evolve and activate an established brand design system across multiple sub-brands and channels. This role is not about pitching new brands or reinventing the wheel. It’s about bringing an existing brand system to life, pushing it forward thoughtfully, and expressing it with clarity, consistency, and creative ambition at scale. You’ll work deeply on one multi-brand ecosystem, across many workstreams and channels, building concepts, visual systems, and executions that feel fresh while remaining unmistakably on-brand. This role is about deep brand ownership, system thinking, and craft

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute visual concepts across digital, social, and video formats.
  • Develop layouts, mockups, prototypes, and production-ready assets with a high level of polish.
  • Safeguard visual quality across all deliverables, maintaining consistency with Amazon’s design system and narrative tone of voice (“Charm and Disarm”).
  • Contribute to style frames and visual systems that scale across formats, regions, and channels.
  • Support campaign storytelling through visual development and storyboarding.
  • Help translate creative briefs into compelling visual narratives, particularly for motion, film, and animation-based work.
  • Partner with Copywriters and Creative Directors to ensure ideas land clearly and emotionally.
  • Use AI tools daily to support concepting, exploration, and iteration
  • Generate AI visual options efficiently without compromising brand accuracy
  • Apply strong judgment to when AI is helpful and when traditional craft is better
  • Work closely with the Group Creative Director and broader creative team to execute campaigns from concept through delivery.
  • Collaborate with Strategists, Account Leads, and Producers to ensure creative aligns with project goals and timelines.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and creative reviews to maintain alignment and momentum.
  • Use Figma confidently for collaborative design, layout development, and feedback cycles.
  • Help produce assets at scale using tools and workflows, including AI-assisted production.
  • Contribute ideas to improve creative processes, templates, and efficiencies.
  • Stay current on design trends, platform best practices, and emerging creative formats.
  • Maintain high standards across all outputs, ensuring thoughtful design, strong storytelling, and attention to detail.
  • Take ownership of assigned deliverables from start to finish.

About You The essentials:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Senior Designer, Lead Designer, or Art Director within advertising or production environments.
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong conceptual thinking and execution across digital, social, and video.
  • Advanced Photoshop skills, with experience creating high-volume digital assets.
  • Comfortable working in Figma within collaborative environments.
  • Experience across all stages of the design process—from concepting styles to final delivery across formats and markets.
  • Strong foundation in typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and storytelling.
  • Established working knowledge of AI tools in a design workflow, with a strong eye for realism, accuracy, and detail
  • Ability to clearly present and sell creative ideas internally and to clients.
  • Strong English communication skills and comfort working with global teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong eye for design and storytelling.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable taking creative direction while contributing ideas.
  • Adaptable and energized by fast-paced environments.
  • Positive team player who communicates openly and thoughtfully.
  • Motivated by craft, curiosity, and continuous improvement.

Not a Must, But a Plus

  • Film or animation production experience, including storyboarding and narrative development.
