About the role
Within the Dealer Relations team, the Senior Business Consultant primary accountability is to identify, monitor and help mitigate the Corporation’s financial exposure associated with high risk Dealers. The Senior Business Consultant is accountable for monitoring the financial performance of all Dealers in a designated portfolio.
This position acts as the first point of contact for Dealers regarding financial issues, serving as a business consultant to Dealers, a role which requires an individual with superior analytical and communication skills. This position also provides exposure to various cross functional teams (Dealer Relations, Real Estate, Treasury, Legal, Finance, and Store Sales & Operations) and interaction with Senior Management and Executives as well as external stakeholders such as the Dealers’ accountants and banks.
What you’ll do:

Proactively identify, monitor and help mitigate Corporate financial exposure associated with Dealers

Build and maintain collaborative relationships with the Dealers and various internal and external stakeholders

Consult with Dealers and Corporate team members to provide analysis and insight into the root causes of under-performing stores and develop action plans to improve Dealers’ financial results

Develop and present executive level materials to facilitate decision making at various levels within the organization to both financial and non-financial stakeholders

Ensure Dealer compliance with applicable portions of the Dealer Contract and policies

Perform cost-benefit analysis for evaluating capital store project impacts to Dealers

Develop the annual Dealer Allowance budget, monthly & quarterly reforecasts, and variance analysis

Execute ad hoc business requests, including deep dive analysis and report building

Evolve existing financial models and develop new models to help increase productivity, functionality, and minimize errors

Maintain existing materials and develop new finance content for the Dealer Training program, facilitate the training of new Dealers, and assess their performance
What you bring:
- Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills exhibited through experience
- Advanced degree in business (MBA) or a professional accounting designation (CPA)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage various personalities and confrontational situations
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
- Minimum 5 years' business experience
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Extensive working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Powerpoint
- Confidence in presenting financial and operational information to to Senior and Executive Management and Dealers
- Knowledge of retail and/or franchise operations is an asset
- Previous experience working directly with Dealers is considered an asset

Our typical hiring range is between $64,000 and $106,000 Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
