PERMANENT- FULL TIME 1.0 FTE Effective Immediately

Salary Range (commensurate With Experience) Group 3, $62,478 - $ 70,997 Extensive Benefit Package and OMERS Pension Plan

Under the direction of the School Principal, the Secondary School Office Assistant provides support through a variety of administrative functions within the Secondary School Office. This position works closely with the administrative team and the Office Supervisor to support the day-to-day function of the school’s main office. The Secondary School Office Assistant will provide support for school messenger login concerns, bus registration inquiries, and communications through school messenger. In coordination with Office staff, they will assist with maintaining student records, managing technology resource inventory tracking, and coordinating graduation activities.

Qualifications And Skills Required

  • College diploma in business or office administration (1-2 years)
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset
  • Proven knowledge and experience utilizing student communication software (School Messenger) functionality applicable to secondary school needs
  • Point person for parent and student enquiries related to school transportation and communication
  • Proficient in the use of student data management software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Proven ability and willingness to work effectively in a team environment and independently
  • Excellent record management skills
  • Ability to manage time, set priorities and function effectively in a quick paced multi-task environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and judgement skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of Board policies, procedures and protocols
  • Excellent understanding of Catholic Education and the system commitment to student learning
