Starting Salary Range: $55,000 - $59,000 annually. This is the starting base range for this role and may vary based on internal equity, and a candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Over and above the base salary and the benefits highlighted above, this position is also eligible for an incentive bonus of up to 10% of the annual salary.

Position Summary

The Specialist, Web Marketing & Sales supports the fulfilment of Whistler.com's goals and objectives through the ongoing monitoring, auditing, and updating of the Whistler.com website. Reporting to the Senior Manager, E-Commerce, this role also collaborates with the Tourism Whistler Web and Marketing teams.

The Specialist plays a key role in promoting Whistler.com packages and promotions through clear website communication, sales and marketing analysis, and cross-departmental collaboration. With exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, creativity, and initiative, the Specialist supports with driving incremental sales opportunities for Whistler.com.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a Tourism Whistler ambassador, living our purpose and vision with passion & energy, achievement and respect
  • Develop and maintain relationships with our internal Web and Marketing teams, and external suppliers
  • Use analytics and personalization tools to track, monitor, and optimize digital presence and sales programs
  • Consolidate metrics, provide ongoing reporting and analytics, and provide insights for website optimization to Sales & Marketing Manager
  • Maintain and communicate packages, promotions, and events via web or email on an ongoing basis
  • Regularly monitor web pages for effectiveness, make and implement recommendations for improvement
  • Liaise with the Whistler.com Call Centre to ensure up-to-date knowledge and training on current campaigns, events, and offers
  • Support Senior Manager, E-Commerce with reporting and slideshow for bi-weekly Sales & Marketing meetings
  • Management and fulfilment of online white labels and event white labels on third party websites
  • Work with Specialist, Email Marketing on tactical email support while providing ongoing feedback on email content and promotional offers
  • Work with the Content team to provide tactical offer information and ensure web content is accurate and regularly audited
  • Support with reporting and implementation of the Preferred Partner Program
  • Management and implementation of monthly offers on the Rewards by Whistler.com program
  • Support monthly KPI meetings with reporting on Rewards by Whistler.com and overall web stats
  • Create and maintain delegate pages on Whistler.com to assist in driving online sales for the Whistler.com groups department
  • Web support for external event partners such as Cornucopia when needed
  • Generate sales reports daily, weekly and monthly for external and internal stakeholders as needed
  • Oversee image assets used in the Whistler.com booking funnel and across tactical landing pages
  • Additional projects as assigned by the Senior Manager, E-Commerce

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Passion and knowledge of Whistler, mountain resorts, and the tourism industry
  • Proficiency with HTML, Content Management Systems, Photoshop, copywriting, SEO and Google Analytics
  • Experience across key marketing areas, including CRM, SEM, and A/B Testing
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently and proactively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a commitment to customer service
  • Computer proficiency, including Excel and Outlook
  • Passion and energy for Whistler's unique mountain lifestyle
