About the role

Join our Learning & Development team for 12-weeks paid placement this summer. Opportunity for a student studying Business, HR, Org Design or Education. Gain hands-on experience in the water industry as part of a passionate team.

About the role

Unitywater’s Vacation Program is a 12-week placement, offered over the summer holiday period (Nov 2026 – Feb 2027). Work four days per week while building your skills, meeting new people, learning from experienced professionals, and discovering where a career in the water industry could take you.

Opportunity: Learning and Development team

Gain hands-on experience within our Learning and Development team, supporting face-to-face training, learning management system (LMS) administration, learner requests, and corporate induction programs. Work with subject matter experts to develop learning solutions and gain exposure to instructional design principles, training development, and learning program delivery. Open to students studying Business, Human Resources, Organisational Design or Education.

Unitywater provides essential water supply and sewage treatment services to residents and businesses in the Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast and Noosa regions.

Every day Unitywater operates and maintains more than $3.4 billion of essential infrastructure, delivers quality drinking water and treats 60 Olympic-sized swimming pools worth of sewage for over 17% of Queensland’s population, spread across 5223 square km.

Operations began on 1 July 2010 under the South-East Queensland Water (Distribution and Retail) Act 2009, as part of the Queensland Government water reform program. Unitywater is governed by an independent Board of Directors.
