About the role
Our client is seeking a creative and trend-driven Fashion Designer to join their growing design team. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, a deep understanding of women's ready-to-wear, and experience taking designs from concept through to production. This role is perfect for a designer with 3+ years of experience looking to contribute to a collaborative design environment and help shape seasonal collections.
Responsibilities
- Create sketches, CADs, and detailed technical packages for sampling and production.
- Conduct trend research, prepare mood boards, and contribute to seasonal themes, color palettes, and fabric direction.
- Select fabrics, prints, trims, and embellishments aligned with brand aesthetic and market needs.
- Work closely with pattern makers, product developers, and production teams to ensure fit, construction, and costing requirements are met.
- Review and provide feedback on samples and prototypes; ensure accuracy and quality through each development stage.
- Collaborate with merchandising and sales teams to incorporate customer feedback, market trends, and performance insights into design decisions.
- Research trends, retail market, competitive landscape, and customer preferences to support innovation and commercial viability.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in fashion design, ideally in women's ready-to-wear.
- Degree or diploma in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
- Strong sketching, CAD, and technical design skills with understanding of garment construction and fabrication.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
