POSITION: OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY/PHYSIOTHERAPY ASSISTANT
Primary Sites: Seaforth/Clinton
Regular Part-Time
(Shifts: 8 – hour days, 7 days/week)
REPORTS TO: Manager, Therapies & Professional Practice
DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible
SALARY: $30.02 to $31.89 per hour
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Graduate of recognized Rehabilitation or Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist Assistant Program
-
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience working with inpatients and outpatients in the areas of rehabilitation, medicine,
complex continuing care, stroke, surgery and critical care
ABILITIES:
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to function in an interprofessional team model
-
Ability to determine priorities and manage time effectively
-
Critical thinking, problem solving, decision making skills
-
Computer, word processing skills
-
Working knowledge of Meditech Information System and personal computer applications
-
Knowledge of anatomy, therapeutic modalities and exercise, disabling conditions, health
Sciences
- Valid Ontario drivers’ license and ability to travel among sites, as required
