Reporting to the Territorial Maintenance Manager, the Building Control Specialist (Specialist) is responsible for performing a variety of tasks such as inspect, test and troubleshoot low voltage power equipment and systems, network communications, end devices, peripherals, valves and actuators, relays and sensors as part of the commissioning process. Commission building automation systems (BAS), end to end verification. This position assists in verifying the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems related to the BAS.

Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Nunavut The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Nunavut (TIN) develops and maintains critical systems that connect Nunavut's communities and support government operations. Given Nunavut’s vast and remote geography, TIN provides essential transportation, infrastructure, Information Technology (IT), fuel and procurement. Its Petroleum Products Division manages fuel resupply, delivery, infrastructure, and billing to ensure reliable access across Nunavut. TIN also plans, constructs, and maintains public infrastructure, such as roads, airports, and government buildings. Key transportation services include air and marine access, vital for travel, goods movement, and community resupply.
