Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Intermediate (RQ10680) Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement | 222 Jarvis St., Toronto, Ontario (Onsite)
Contract: May 14, 2026 – March 31, 2027 (191 business days, probable extension)
About The Role We are looking for an experienced Intermediate QA Specialist with 5-10 years across manual/automation testing, defect triaging, and AODA accessibility testing to support comprehensive testing strategies for enterprise systems. Our ideal candidate excels at developing/executing test plans across black box, penetration, security, system, unit, AODA, and UAT testing while leading triage meetings and producing defect summary reports using Azure DevOps. They will provide testing strategy advice, develop detailed test cases, and execute regression testing both manually and via automation scripts with SQL data validation expertise.
This onsite role requires hands-on experience with screen readers, accessibility tools, DevOps/Agile environments, and the ability to document/explain complex bugs to development and business teams while recommending coding/architecture improvements for accessibility compliance.
What You'll Do
Develop test strategies, execute manual/automation testing, lead defect triage, and ensure AODA compliance.
Must Haves
- Solid experience triaging defects, leading triage meetings, producing defect summary reports.
- Extensive manual + automation regression testing experience.
- 5-10 years across black box, penetration, security, system, unit, AODA, UAT testing.
- Extensive detailed test case preparation for functionality testing.
- Hands-on Azure DevOps defect tracking experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on testing strategy, tools, resources for GUI/non-GUI systems.
- Plan/organize testing efforts (SIT, specialized tests, UAT, stress tests).
- Develop test plans, scripts, cases; execute against components.
- Develop/execute automation testing across multiple solutions.
- SQL queries for test data validation/creation/extraction.
Experience And Skill Set Requirements Experience & Skills (30%)
- Defect triaging, triage meetings leadership, defect summary reports.
- Azure DevOps: Test cases/scenarios, defect tracking.
- 5+ years automation script development (multiple tools).
- Manual + automation regression testing.
- Load testing experience.
QA Experience (35%)
- 5-10 years DevOps/Agile/Scrum with web/mobile technologies.
- 5-10 years testing types: black box, penetration, security, AODA, UAT.
- Test Strategy/Test Plan documentation.
- BRD analysis → test data requirements.
- System/integration testing (5-10 years).
Automation/Technical (35%)
- Automation test script development/execution.
- AODA: Screen readers, syntax checking, color-contrast tools.
- HTML5, WAI-ARIA, UX/front-end development.
- Accessibility coding recommendations (Java, AngularJS).
- SQL test data generation via DB queries/model analysis.
Position Details

- Hours: 7.25 hours per day
