Air Liquide Canada is seeking an Inventory Analyst to join the western region finance team, which supports the operations of the western region and its districts. Reporting to the Manager Inventory, this position will play a critical role in the inventory management of the region by delivering key reports, conducting in-depth analysis and supporting strategic decision-making regarding hard goods. The analyst will provide business insights through data-driven analysis, monitor monthly inventory data and collaborate with various teams to ensure key objectives are met and operational efficiency is optimized. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong analytical mindset and looking for a challenge.

Analyze & Interpret Data

Perform both strategic and transactional inventory management, optimizing inventory across the region

Develop, deploy and monitor inventory Key Performance Indicators and inventory performance against targets

Perform slow moving and dead inventory analysis to optimize the inventory and coordinate the inventory disposal

Analyze inventory statistics to predict future demand of inventory (ROPs)

Highlight and identify risk and opportunities by SKU level
-
Perform hardgood analysis, modeling and trends to support business key metrics

Controlling inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock to meet customer demand, while also minimizing carrying costs and overstocking

Provide insights to stores and sales teams to improve inventory efficiency and stocking strategy

Managing and coaching stakeholders to create awareness on cost optimization initiatives

Coordinate the store cycle counts and upload inventory adjustments accordingly
Reporting

Develop and implement inventory accuracy analysis & reporting for management teams, utilizing BI reporting tools

Prepare reports, summaries and recommendations by store locations

Establish and maintain proper records of inventory adjustments and other key metrics, presented on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
Execute/Develop Process
- Develop, implement and maintain inventory work processes with a focus on continuous improvements
- Work collaboratively with branch managers, supply chain and hard goods specialists to ensure stores are appropriately stocked
- Support the implementation of SAP to ensure smooth transition from Oracle and ensure all inventory records are accurate and complete
- Develop and implement regional obsolescence plan
- Assist in acquisition and strategic initiatives providing inventory hard goods knowledge and expertise

REQUIRED EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary business degree and/or 3 - 5 years relevant experience in inventory hardgoods or procurement
- Experience with BI reporting is an asset
- Knowledge of ERP systems with preference for Oracle or SAP S4 Hana
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
- Proven technical and analytical skills with the ability to think creatively to identify trends and insights through different lens
- Effective relationship builder and ability to deliver results through influence in a collaborative team environment
- Strong drive to continuously evaluate and improve processes
