Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate with geology teams to identify coal seam types and qualities, maintaining accurate models and seam data.
• Oversee ROM stockpile arrangement and tracking to minimize contamination and degradation.
• Ensure proper dozer, loader, and stacking operations for optimal blending.
• Monitor ROM deliveries to ensure correct coal type allocation to stockpiles.
• Coordinate representative coal sampling at ROM and plant feed points, ensuring proper analysis
• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly blending plans aligned with mine output, contracts, and quality targets.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, or related field.
• 3–5 years in coal mining or processing operations, preference to those with at least 2 years in a coal quality or blending role.
• Valid Driver's License

Technical Competencies & Skills

• Ability to adhere to a 5x2 schedule with 8-hour shifts.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Strong understanding of coal washability and incremental ash blend concepts.
• Familiarity with coal handling, stockpile management, and CHPP processes.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency using various software and applications.
• High level of attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions.

Wage and Benefits

Conuma Resources takes pride in providing industry-competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package that truly values our employees. Specifically for the Processing Engineer we offer an annual base salary range of $110,000.00 - $125,000.00, along with a variety of bonuses. These bonuses include monthly efficiency bonuses linked to safety and production, quarterly retention bonuses, and a performance bonus tailored to reward your contributions. Our benefits package also includes paid vacation and personal days, 7% RRSP matching, and 100% employer-paid extended health and dental care, among other valuable perks.
