What you’ll do:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Division Manager, Food & Liquor is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational excellence across our food and liquor store locations. As part of our senior leadership team, you will guide a talented group of department managers to deliver outstanding service, foster team culture, and drive growth and profitability while living our Co-op values of Integrity, Respect, and Excellence.

  • Build strong relationships with staff, suppliers, partners, and customers to ensure high-quality service and operational success.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth through acquisitions, new developments, and enhanced product offerings.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and implement strategies to improve operational and financial outcomes.
  • Champion brand consistency, guest experience, and Co-op standards across all departments.
  • Lead, coach, and develop department managers to achieve operational excellence and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, liquor, and occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Who you are:

You are an experienced retail leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys mentoring teams to success. You have a passion for people, operations, and community. To be successful, you’ll bring:

  • Minimum 8+ years of proven experience managing a successful retail operation.
  • At least 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong financial management, planning, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple departments or locations effectively.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety, food safety, and liquor compliance standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and retail management systems.
  • Class 5 driver’s license and ability to travel between locations as required.
