IPOC is seeking for a qualified Logistics Associate to join our inventory and purchasing operations. This is a full time permanent opportunity and this position will report to the Head of Manufacturing**.** If you are an experienced and competent individual with in-depth knowledge of inventory management systems and procedures, then we’re looking for you! In this role, your duties will include maintaining budgets, analyzing materials, and researching vendors.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Coordination of the day-to-day activities of the Materials Management Department, which include Shipping, Receiving, Warehousing, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Material Handling and Facilities.
- Handles the acquisition and availability of materials and equipment. Manages correspondence and contact with suppliers.
- Handling all correspondence and negotiations with suppliers
- Optimizing warehouse functions
- Reporting any accidents or injuries that occur on the floor
- Collaborating with internal departments to identify and close any operational gaps
- Preparing and submitting weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as required
- Analyze data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues
- Monitor logistics to make sure they run smoothly
- Maintain supply chain inventory and record
- Work with finance, sales, and manufacturing teams to determine the best vendors and distributors
- Build and maintain good relationships with vendors
- Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes
- Analyzes procurement metrics to enhance supply chain processes.
- Able to conduct inventory analyses and risk assessments on supply trends and demand factors
- Resolve issues that come up in a timely manner (e.g. delays in delivery, accidents)
- Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain (e.g. use of trucks, and forklifts)
- Coordinates completion of work on schedule in keeping with priorities determined by the Manager
- Provide input to process improvements
- Maintains department documentation such as database updates, inventory records, and manufacturing batch records.
