Join Our Team as a Project Planner!
Valiant TMS, a global industry leader, is looking for a Project Planner to join our heavy fabrication and machining team at Valco Manufacturing Inc. If you are eager to be a part of a talented team where you’ll be responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating projects to support both production and fabrication operations, then this opportunity is for you!
What You’ll Get To Do
Provide the technical support and services required to plan the details of projects, including timing, and resources that will ensure project completion as per customer requirements. Maintain, monitor and communicate ongoing detailed reporting of current status of jobs relative to timing using Microsoft Excel scheduling tools. Evaluate current status including tracking progress of individual departments as well as purchase component deliveries relative to program timing. Schedule and lead status meetings with cross functional project teams to identify and resolve issues relative to program timing. Maintain detailed forecasting of various departments workload requirements to aid in forecasting risks and opportunities for current and upcoming programs.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: 1-3 years in project planning or project coordination. Demonstrated success tracking project timelines and mitigating risks to meet customer delivery requirements (preferably in heavy fabrication and machining).
Qualifications
Completed post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field or related experience. Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP) and Microsoft Excel scheduling tools.
Skills
Ability to break down complex projects into detailed schedules and actionable tasks and the ability to communicate and present project status clearly. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate system data and documentation. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

The expected annual compensation for this position is $55,000.00 – $65,000.00. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skillset, or location. This posting is for an existing vacancy. Valiant TMS does not require Canadian work experience and does not use artificial intelligence (AI) to screen or assess applicants.
