Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced Scala Spark Developer from Banking or Finance Domain to design, develop, and maintain scalable data processing solutions supporting liquidity reporting, analytics, and data quality controls.
• This is a long-term opportunity offering exposure to regulatory and liquidity reporting initiatives within a large enterprise environment.
• The role involves building high-performance data pipelines, integrating data from multiple source systems, and ensuring compliance with enterprise development standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, unit test, and optimize data pipelines using Scala and Apache Spark.
• Implement data transformations, aggregations, and calculations required for reporting solutions.
• Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of large-scale data processing jobs.
• Integrate data from multiple source systems, including transactional, risk, and financial data platforms.
• Apply data validation, reconciliation, and error-handling mechanisms to ensure data quality.
• Support deployment activities, code reviews, and production issue resolution.
• Adhere to enterprise SDLC standards, security requirements, and governance policies.
• Collaborate effectively with development teams, business stakeholders, and project members.

Experience

• Must have 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Scala Spark Developer.
• Overall 5–10 years of professional IT experience preferred.
• Strong experience developing scalable and high-performance data processing applications.
• Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing environments.
• Banking industry experience preferred.
• Regulatory reporting experience within banking environments preferred.
• Liquidity reporting experience is considered a strong asset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
