This role designs, delivers, and provides hyper-care for category floor plan refreshes and planogram sets, enabling merchant category strategy through effective management of build activities, timelines, and maintaining standards for customer-relevant designs.

The role may be accountable for on-time creation, monitoring, and risk resolution of the Category Relay Schedule and/or Projects, ensuring all cross-functional stakeholders complete milestones on time to deliver accurate category floor plans and planograms. The role also supports preparedness for key meetings and reviews, mitigating risks and resolving issues identified.

Accountability includes the accuracy of category floor plan and planogram drawings, ensuring on-time check-in and finalization. Consistency and thoroughness of change reviews with cross-functional partners are essential for obtaining necessary approvals or directions for changes, especially before key meetings. The role ensures the integrity and maintenance of accurate category floor plans and planograms, including active listings, dimensions, locations, and traits.

Compliance with category space and planogram standards, guiding principles, and space excellence targets is crucial, with necessary checks and reporting to facilitate decision-making. The role also identifies and drives strategic and process improvements, introduces new technologies, and engages in senior leadership meetings to provide progress reports and insights. Managing overall performance and professional development of direct reports ensures achievement of objectives efficiently.

Experience & Education

  • 5-8 years of progressive experience in Retail Space Planning, Store Planning/Design, Merchandising, Assortment Analytics, Store Operations or Supply Chain
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Retail Management or Data Analytics is an asset
  • People Leadership: Proven track record of leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams, including performance management and talent pipeline development

  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex topics into clear, compelling narratives and presentations for senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Agility & Execution: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively prioritizing competing demands while maintaining a bias for action and results

Technical Skills

  • Space Planning: Strong proficiency in Blue Yonder (JDA) Space Planning and/or Floor Planning is strongly preferred
  • Data Synthesis: Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data sets and metrics into a clear, strategic narrative
  • Digital Literacy: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Experience leveraging Gen AI tools (e.g., MS Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini) to drive process efficiency and business insights is a strong asset

The pay range for this position is $91,900.00 - $126,390.00. Pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
