About The Role Join our dynamic, diverse team at Four Seasons Resort & Residences Whistler as the Full-Time Permanent Security & Safety Coordinator. The Security & Safety Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the safety, security and well-being of all guests, employees, and property at the Four Seasons Whistler Resort & Residences. This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day security operations, driving Lead With Care initiatives to promote a positive safety culture while ensuring compliance with local legislation and corporate standards.
Hourly Wage: $26.00 - $28.00
What You Will Do
- Responsible for the daily business operation of the security office, including clerical, administrative, auditing and filing of paperwork and records.
- Tending and auditing databases using Word, Excel, Visionline and Keywatcher systems/programs.
- Issue access cards and key access to new employees, or transferring employees.
- Handling cash deposits for the department (Contractor parking and meal tickets).
- Identifying and signing in Contractors/Visitors to the property.
- Recognizing malfunctions and placing service calls relating to Security equipment and systems.
- Be a point of contact for the department and maintain open lines of communication with both internal and external parties via phone, voicemail, email or in-person communication.
- Organize and prioritize work relating to the department and the members of Security staff.
- The Coordinator will also act as on-call Security at times and will assist in completing all relevant security department tasks or calls for service.
Lost And Found
- Provide oversight and maintain effectiveness of the resort’s Lost and Found system, Chargerback, to ensure timely response to guest inquiries and handling of found items.
- Maintain and order supplies necessary to ship, package and store lost and found items.
- Maintain cleanliness of lost and found storage areas. This includes regular inspection and clearing of items past retention periods with appropriate communication with any known owner.
- The coordinator will work jointly with the Director of Security to handle all valuable items and their release.
Health And Safety
- Participate as a worker representative on the Resort’s Joint Health and Safety Committee, Four Season’s Lead with Care Committee as Secretary.
- Prepare, maintain and post monthly meeting minutes, monthly injury statistics, and monthly injury investigations.
- Work with the Lead with Care Committee and Security Supervisor to maintain the Resort’s Corrective Action Log as well as schedule and follow-up to ensure timely corrective actions are completed.
- Respond to all workplace accidents to provide care for an injured person.
- Maintain the Resort’s first aid program by auditing and ordering of supplies. Schedule regular inspection of first aid equipment including first aid kits, first aid room, wheelchairs, crutches and AED units.
- Assist Management with the effective reporting of workplace incidents. Scheduling and leading Incident Investigations for all workplace injuries.
What You Bring
- Current and valid work authorization for Canada is mandatory.
- Hold a valid Security Worker License for the province of British Columbia, strongly encouraged.
- Hold a valid Occupational First Aid Attendant certification, equivalent to WorkSafe BC’s Intermediate First Aid designation, strongly encouraged.
- Strong administrative skills including scheduling, task tracking, inventory and ordering, planning and executing internal meetings.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate security and safety related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.
- Basic understanding of occupational safety regulations in British Columbia and workplace safety programs.
- Basic understanding of security technology and programs including key control, access control, security camera, safes, and fire life safety systems.

Schedule & Hours As our hotel is open 24/7, 365 days a year, we expect the Security and Safety Coordinator to be flexible in working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, on a schedule of five 8-hour shifts per week.
Shifts will be a mix of day and evening hours based on operational needs, typically from 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM.
