Job Title: Engineer – Project, Junior
Job Summary
As a Junior Project Engineer, you will support the execution of engineering projects within our automotive parts manufacturing operations. This role involves assisting senior engineers and coordinating with cross-functional teams to improve processes and enhance product quality through continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibility

Assist in planning, documenting and executing engineering projects under the guidance of senior engineers or program managers.

Participate APQP and Customer Focus Teams, maintaining action trackers and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to estimate cycle times and optimize process flows.

Support the review and refinement of Process FMEA’s, focusing on reducing high RPN values.

Contribute to SRED and Waste Elimination activities, helping to drive innovation and waste reduction.

Troubleshoot manufacturing and quality issues, providing technical support to production teams.

Assist in defining the plant layout and enhance ergonomic requirements by conducting studies and establishing programs.

Develop and monitor strategy for procuring special tools and fixtures where required. Support core teams to reduce lines scrap against plant targets.
Academic/Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
Required Skills/Experience
- 1-2 years of engineering experience, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of SPC, GD&T, APQP, CFM and PPAP processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Practical knowledge of cutting tools, machining processes, materials & equipment.
