About the role

Job Description Bluebonnet Trails Community Services (BTCS) is seeking an innovative and experienced Director of Access to lead the development and implementation of procedures, workflows, training, and quality improvement initiatives for a centralized Access team that ensure a seamless and positive experience for individuals and families seeking care.

The Director of Access has demonstrated leadership skills, is a licensed clinician, and skilled diagnostician who will oversee a team of clinicians trained to conduct age-appropriate eligibility assessments for mental health, substance use, and developmental disability services. This leader will have demonstrated experience in successfully managing programs and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the timely design and execution of effective access workflows and procedures.
  • Provide clinical supervision to a team of cross-trained clinicians conducting eligibility assessments.
  • Ensure assessments, recovery plans, and documentation meet standards for mental health, substance use, and developmental disability programs.
  • Monitor performance and outcome metrics to enhance service delivery.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from internal and external stakeholders for use in decision making.
  • Collaborate across departments and programs to implement improvements that increase access to care.
  • Oversee the integration and use of virtual waiting room technology to support same-day access to assessments.
  • Drive continuous quality improvement efforts related to access processes.
  • Work collaboratively with the Training department to develop initial and ongoing training necessary for all Access program team members.

Location: All BTCS Counties – Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Lee, Williamson Counties

Hourly Salary Range: TBD

Differential Detail

  • Up to $2.00/hour – previous experience with a community center in a similar role
  • $1.00/hour – Career ladder specialty
  • .75/hour – Bilingual
  • $1.00/hour – Tenure with BTCS

Full licensure in Texas as an LPC, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist

A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in direct care of persons with a serious mental illness, developmental disability and/or substance use disorder.

Experience with differential diagnosis

A minimum of 2+ years of supervisory and/or program management experience with experience supervising provisionally licensed and fully licensed team members.

Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and maintain approved driving status throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of supervisory and/or program management experience

Demonstrated experience in successful program change management, process design, and implementation.
