Ski Repair Technician (Winter)
About the role
Our repair technicians have a vast knowledge of ski and board construction. Our technicians can properly tune and repair skis as well as snowboards. They will be certified in all five major bindings and be familiar with models of bindings within the last few years. Accuracy when adjusting and installing bindings is of Paramount importance. Ability to work well in a team environment is crucial. Quality of work and focus on service and guest satisfaction are the priorities for this position Essential Functions: Tuning of guests’ ski and snowboard equipment. Correct installation and adjustment of bindings. Maintenance of rental fleet. Repair of damaged ski and snowboard equipment. Assist in the rental shop when needed. Adhere to all safety procedures as outlined by safety and risk managers analysis. Assist ski techs in tuning of rental skis and snowboards when needed. Assist guests in fast and efficient returning of rental product. Continually strive to exceed guests’ expectations. Provide immediate response to product and service shortfalls. Operate a computer POS system and all related procedures. Perform daily operational routines and all related procedures (cleanliness check list, etc.) Adhere to all security procedures involving cash handling, theft, liability, and premises. Complete a rental training checklist. Demonstrate knowledge of all Panorama products and services. Learn and demonstrate knowledge of all rental product and who it is best suited for Experience/Requirements: High School Diploma. 2 years previous ski/board repair shop experience. Genuine enjoyment of people interaction. There will be lifting of boxes required up to a maximum of 50 lbs. Repair work requires long periods of time on your feet. Working on your feet in the store for long periods of time. Lifting and moving of rental / repair product, up to 50 lbs.
