Description The Joint Department of Medical Imaging (JDMI) of the University Health Network, Sinai Health and Women's College Hospital, and the Department of Medical Imaging at the University of Toronto are seeking a full time Vascular and Interventional Radiology physician to become a member of our faculty. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2026.

The successful applicant will join the JDMI’s Division of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, which currently consists of 11 faculty members with support staff of 25 nurses and 20 technologists. The facility includes 7 interventional suites, 2 multipurpose operating rooms, 2 venous access rooms and 2 minor procedure rooms. Aside from a large volume of routine interventional radiology procedures, the division has robust programs in interventional oncology and vascular interventions. We currently perform over 20,000 procedures annually, which include over 400 tumor ablations, 600 arterial interventions and 120 aortic aneurysm repair. We are an academic health science community fully affiliated with the University of Toronto and the successful candidate will find a wealth of clinical, research, and teaching opportunities at their disposal. The academic position description will be assigned based on the candidate’s teaching or research strengths.

The successful applicant must hold an MD degree or equivalent, be board-certified in diagnostic radiology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, American Board of Radiology, or international equivalent, and have had fellowship training in all aspects of vascular and non-vascular interventional radiology. Excellent clinical skills are a prerequisite for this high-volume department. Applicants should have experience in prostate artery embolization, balloon pulmonary angioplasty, advanced/standard EVAR, and advanced hepatobiliary intervention (TIPS/CARTO/PARTO). The successful candidate must also have a strong interest and/or existing background in clinical/academic radiology, and be licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

The successful candidate should be eligible for an academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Imaging at the University of Toronto. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. The salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The salary range of this position exceeds $200,000 CAD per annum. Details pertaining to compensation for out-of-hours work to be discussed individually.
