At PwC, our people in audit and assurance focus on providing independent and objective assessments of financial statements, internal controls, and other assurable information enhancing the credibility and reliability of this information with a variety of stakeholders. They evaluate compliance with regulations including assessing governance and risk management processes and related controls.

Those in internal audit at PwC help build, optimise and deliver end-to-end internal audit services to clients in all industries. This includes IA function setup and transformation, co-sourcing, outsourcing and managed services, using AI and other risk technology and delivery models. IA capabilities are combined with other industry and technical expertise, in areas like cyber, forensics and compliance, to address the full spectrum of risks. This helps organisations to harness the power of IA to help the organisation protect value and navigate disruption, and obtain confidence to take risks to power growth.

As an Associate, you will play a key role in delivering innovative solutions that help our financial services clients effectively manage their financial and non-financial risks. You will contribute to enhancing the client experience while supporting organizations in achieving their strategic objectives . This practice represents a significant growth area for our firm, offering you the opportunity to be at the heart of the expansion of our advisory services during a period of major transformation.

What you bring to this role:

  • Support clients across various industries in improving their risk management and internal control capabilities.

  • Help increase the value delivered by existing internal audit, compliance, and risk management functions, including through strategic advisory, outsourcing, and co-sourcing solutions.

  • Participate in engagements covering the full value protection chain: governance, operational effectiveness, resource optimization, and compliance audits.

  • Provide advisory services related to financial, operational, strategic, regulatory, and emerging risks.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Completing audit or advisory work in accordance with established timelines and budgets.

  • Maintaining clear and ongoing communication with engagement leaders to ensure the quality and consistency of deliverables.

  • Clearly and concisely documenting audit evidence and validating its quality and relevance.

  • Analyzing the impact of control deficiencies on financial data and the overall audit or advisory strategy.

  • Building and maintaining strong collaborative relationships within the team and with clients.

  • Staying informed about industry trends related to regulation, risk, governance, data, analytics, and technology.

  • Identifying business development opportunities to promote our services to new clients and strengthen existing relationships.

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed post-secondary studies.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and comfort with learning new tools.

  • The salary range for this position is $63,000 - $73,000. Eligible employees will also have the opportunity to participate in our performance pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.
