The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for delivering data-driven insights that inform strategic and tactical decisions across the division. This role leverages internal and external data sources to uncover trends, evaluate performance, and provide actionable insights within the dynamic Beverage Alcohol industry. In this role, the Analyst will build industry leading reporting and dashboards that leverage the latest analytical tools. You will have a deep curiosity for solving problems using creative analytical solutions, display strategic thinking in your recommendations and tenacity to deliver industry leading output at a fast pace.
Responsibilities Job Description:
- Conduct quantitative analysis on sales, financial, marketing, pricing, and inventory data
- Build and automate a suite of analytical reports that drive actionable insight for stakeholders
- Build and automate dashboards, consolidating multiple data sources to monitor business performance, KPI’s, Financials, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
- Act as strategic partner to senior leader stakeholders to deliver best in class service that drives commercial outcome
- Translate data findings into actionable recommendations for sales leadership
- Provide data solutions, tools, and capabilities to enable self-service frameworks for data consumers
- Use market data to support competitive and category analysis
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align on data definitions, business logic, and KPIs
- Assist in sales and demand forecasting through historical trend analysis
- Maintain data integrity and documentation for all reporting assets
- Champion enterprise data literacy initiatives – training and communication
- Manage cross functional Ad Hoc Analytical Projects
- Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field
- 4–5 years’ experience in business analytics, preferably in Beverage Alcohol, Retail, or CPG
- Advanced Excel, SQL, and data visualization (Power BI or Tableau) skills
- Experience building reports and dashboards from scratch
- Experience managing analytical projects with multiple stakeholders
- Sound experience working with large data sets from multiple sources and syndicated data
- Experience building deep dive analysis and presentation of findings in PowerPoint
- Strong communication and storytelling abilities — must convey actionable insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Proven track record of working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
- Understanding of trade promotion and customer segmentation
- Working knowledge of Generative AI Analytics tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, R or statistical modeling tools
- Beverage alcohol experience
Physical Demands Of Job
- Physical demands in operating computer and telephone equipment.
- Occasional standing, walking for short amounts of time to perform various duties
- Extended sitting for long periods of time at desk or workstation
