Job Summary
The Faculty of Medicine inspires and enables excellence in health care through its medical education and research programs, and by serving and engaging society. Reporting to theDirector, Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS), the Accreditation Specialist develops and implements targeted action plans to address gaps in the curriculum, enhances program assessment and evaluation processes, and ensures ongoing compliance with accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities

Manage all internal and external accreditation processes for the MPAS program, ensuring compliance with EQual Canada and Accreditation Canada standards.

Provide expert guidance and interpretation of accreditation standards to faculty, leadership, and clinical academic units.

Coordinate and review data collection from multiple stakeholders to support accreditation assessments and reporting.

Oversee accreditation-related committees, task forces, timelines, site visits, and progress reporting to regulatory and institutional bodies.

Support projects by applying project management methodologies to ensure successful implementation and stakeholder engagement.
Note
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work from within Nova Scotia) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.
Required Qualifications
-
Undergraduate degree in business administration or a related field, with a minimum of three years’ experience in project management or a related area (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).

Experience in and knowledge of continuous quality improvement methodologies.
-
Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills and the proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
-
Demonstrated organizational and multi-tasking skills, and the proven ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
-
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel).
Assets

Experience in a university, public sector, or health care setting.

Experience in working SharePoint application.
