About the role

Position Description

The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time tenure-stream position in Biomedical Engineering. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and will commence on July 1, 2024, or shortly thereafter.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct innovative research in Biomedical Engineering.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Biomedical Engineering.
  • Supervise graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
  • Engage in service to the department, university, and profession.

Qualifications

Required

  • A PhD in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
  • A strong record of research and publications in Biomedical Engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the university level.

Preferred

  • Experience in interdisciplinary research.
  • A track record of securing research funding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
