About the role
As a Senior Financial Analyst on the FP&A Innovation & Strategic Projects team, you will play a crucial role in executing CTFS’s True North Strategy. You will collaborate with various CTFS business units, supporting them in creating financial business cases that align with their unique strategies. Your responsibilities will also include working with business partners and the FP&A team to enhance and develop new financial forecast models.
Additionally, you will participate in the monthly review process, the annual planning and forecasting cycles, and periodic projections throughout the year. You will work closely with our corporate partners to advance key elements of Canadian Tire’s True North Strategy.
What You’ll Do:
- Work with financial services stakeholders to create and maintain business cases for Canadian Tire’s True North Strategy.
- Create and enhance Excel financial models aimed at simplifying business processes and improving accuracy.
- Create reports in Microsoft Power BI.
- Develop a strong understanding of Canadian Tire Financial Services' strategy and financial results.
- Support internal clients with ad hoc analysis requests.
What You Bring:
- A University degree or college diploma in Finance/Accounting, Economics, Math, or another related field
- Professional accreditation such as CPA or CFA an asset.
- Creativity and the ability to work through highly ambiguous tasks.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to collaborate across various levels within the organization.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI is considered an asset; online training is provided.
- An outcome-focused critical thinker with the ability to analyze financial results and draw meaningful insights from financial information.
- Equipped with strong technical skills and the ability to independently complete complex financial analyses, adept at quickly learning new financial software and systems
- The ability to work well both in a team environment and independently (including 4 days per week in the office and 1 day per week virtually).

Our typical hiring range is between $64,000 and $106,000. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
