Configuration Developer - Critical Environments
Key Position Results Required (Must Do):
- Create new programs and modifying existing programs in the configuration system based on engineering drawings and shop floor feedback.
- Implement new features and functionalities in the CPQ system, including product configuration logic, pricing algorithms, BOM generation workflows, and user interface enhancements.
- Design, develop, and maintain software components and modules within the CPQ system. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
- Investigate and resolve software defects reported by users or identified during testing. Conduct root cause analysis, debug code, and implement fixes to ensure the stability and reliability of the CPQ system.
- Support BOM and Product Configuration related tasks.
- Assist with cross-functional continuous improvement teams.
Description of Incumbent Experience Required (Must Know):
- Experience with programming and SQL with the ability to write queries.
- Experience with CPQ systems, such as CPQ Cloud, Infor CPQ, Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ Cloud, or Apttus CPQ, is highly desirable.
- 2+ years of experience in customer support, technical support, or similar position.
- Experience with engineering drawings and manufacturing processes would be an asset.
- Demonstrated experience with multi-tasking; this role will be working on multiple requests simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical team members are a critical skill set.
Incumbent Personal Characteristics (Must Be):
- 2+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on enterprise software systems.
- A unique background mix of engineering and programming.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
Education (or Equivalent):
- A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar discipline.
