This position is located at 115c Boulevard Desjardins E, Sainte-Thérèse, QC, J7E 1C5

This is a full-time position (40 hours) starting at $30-$42 per hour. The salary can be negotiated based on experience.

Responsibilities

Functions under the direction of the service center manager:

  • Ensure that all mechanical repairs and maintenance are carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s and/or company’s specifications and guidelines.
  • Provide reliable and safe vehicles after repairs.
  • Perform routine and annual inspections required by the province.
  • Read and interpret diagnostic test results, using diagnostic tools and equipment provided.
  • Lift trucks, buses, and heavy equipment with hydraulic jacks or lifts.
  • Lift parts or tools weighing up to 40 lbs. Inspect braking systems, steering systems, transmissions, engines, and other vehicle parts.
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, fluids, and lubricating equipment and parts.
  • Maintain the repair history of vehicles by documenting repair orders to accurately reflect the steps and parts used.
  • Follow procedures for tracking parts and inventory.
  • Use websites, software, and diagnostic tools from various manufacturers.
  • Replace tires of any type with sizes ranging from 14 in to 22.5 in.
  • Participate in trainings provided by the company and the manufacturer or other industry-related trainings.
  • Keep the workspace clean and safe, and comply with uniform and equipment standards.
  • Perform various related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • DEP in truck or automotive mechanics (with experience with heavy vehicles) or any other relevant training.
  • Have two (2) to three (3) years of experience (an asset)
  • Interest and aptitude for diagnosing and solving electrical problems "troubleshooting with scan tool"
  • Knowledge of refrigeration unit or A/C systems (an asset)
  • Proactive, resourceful, autonomous with a good ability to comply with regulations and deadlines.
  • Have a toolbox with necessary tools to perform the job responsibilities
  • Must have a Quebec driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada without the need for sponsorship by our company now or in the future
  • Physically fit
