Based in central Ottawa, Ashbury College is currently seeking a full-time Front Desk Administrator for a period of approximately 24 months to welcome Ashbury visitors, respond to telephone and email inquiries, and to provide administrative support for a variety of school activities.
As a member of our two-person front desk team, you'll be a main point of contact for students, staff, parents, and other members of the Ashbury community. You will respectfully respond to others and respect the school's values.
As a front-line representative of the school, you respectfully respond to others, and reflect the school's values. Specific activities will include:
Minimum Requirements
- Completion of Secondary School
- 2-4 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills in English and French (asset)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrated ability to respond appropriately to complicated requests, applying tact and discretion
- Excellent Customer service – friendly and professional
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Welcoming and offering assistance to all visitors who enter the reception area
- Directing telephone calls to the appropriate recipient
- Responding to urgent and emergency requests for assistance
- Providing visitor passes and implementing security procedures
- Receiving, storing, and distributing mail, parcels, and other materials
- Providing administrative support for Senior Management projects and activities
