About the role

**Job Type:**Part-Time (Open availability required – mornings, evenings, and weekends)

**Hours:**25–30 hours per week, (including lifeguarding and swim instruction shifts)
**Shifts:**Combination of 1–2 Supervisor shifts, 1 Lifeguard shift, and 1 Swim Instructor shift

Wage:$26.00 per hour
**Location:**Prosserman JCC, 4588 Bathurst Street, North York, ON (Bathurst St. & Sheppard Ave. W.)

Are YOU our ideal JCC Aquatics Supervisor? The Aquatics Supervisor actively engages clients, students, instructors, lifeguards in a face-to-face manner during

operational hours. They create individual plans for staff for improvement on lessons, lifeguarding skills and facilitating

cleanliness. When working with members and guests, the Aquatics Supervisor responsibilities include excellent

customer service, problem solving for client concerns/complaints and de-escalation of situations where members are

involved.

Key Responsibilities: Customer Service & Leadership

  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and conduct.
  • Train and evaluate staff in customer service and conduct expectations.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and support to staff
  • Share accurate information about aquatic and facility-wide programs.
  • De-escalate and manage participant and family concerns.

Staff Supervision

  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and supervision of aquatic staff.
  • Promote clear and open communication within the team.
  • Help implement safety and skills training programs.
  • Communicate policies and decisions from management to staff.
  • Address disciplinary issues and ensure operational standards are upheld.
  • Supervise lifeguard rotations and health/safety compliance.
  • Complete swim assessments, attendance, and report cards.
  • Teach, supervise, and support swim lessons and lifeguarding duties.
  • Conduct performance audits and document staff interactions.

Facility Operations

  • Maintain cleanliness of pool deck and storage areas.
  • Ensure completion of pool chemical tests and documentation.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure all safety equipment is functional and up to standard.

What do you bring?

  • National Lifeguard Certification, Standard First Aid CPR-C, LSS instructor

  • AST and/or Pool Operators, or within probation period

  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills

  • All certifications up to date and valid through following Aquatics Session
