Missions/Main Duties:

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The HR Business Partner – ALTO Project will support the project’s HR leadership in implementing human resources initiatives aligned with the project’s objectives. The role focuses on HR project management and coordinating recruitment activities in partnership with the Talent Acquisition and Employee Lifecycle Manager, while fostering the development of business partnership skills. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to strategic HR practices on a large-scale engineering project.

  • Assist the HR Director with workforce planning, organizational changes, and various HR initiatives such as performance management, policies, and talent development programs.
  • Serve as the point of contact for employees regarding human resources matters.
  • Facilitate onboarding sessions for new project employees and coordinate new hires and departures in collaboration with administrative support.
  • Ensure that employee records are kept up to date in the project’s HR database.
  • Participate in the implementation or optimization of HR tools and systems.
  • Prepare HR dashboards and presentations on performance metrics.
  • Support the implementation of internal policies in compliance with labor laws and project requirements.
  • Support HR management in managing labor relations issues and in the application of HR policies and procedures.

Profile/Skills:

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or industrial relations.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in human resources. Experience working on a large-scale project is a definite plus.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Experience with HR systems (ADP, Concur, etc.) is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Diligence, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative and proactive attitude aligned with the project’s values.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus.
  • Discretion and professionalism.
  • Hybrid work arrangement (minimum 3 days per week at the project office).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English (spoken and written).
